You must purchase one license per user. Customer registration and activation are required in order to use this software.

4. If I have Microsoft SQL Standard Edition client licences, do I have to pay the full license price for ACT! 8 Premium for Workgroups?

Yes. The ACT! instance of Microsoft SQL Standard Edition is a specialised version of SQL. This SQL instance is only provided through ACT! Premium for Workgroups installations. The SQL license provided with ACT!8 Premium for Workgroups is for the exclusive use of your ACT! database.

5. How do ACT! 2006 and ACT! Premium for Workgroups differ?

ACT! 2006 is designed for individuals, sales professionals and sales teams of up to 10 users who share data. ACT! Premium for Workgroups 2006 is for sales teams, small business and corporate workgroups who need 5-50 users who share data, as well as those who require increased security and advanced workgroup scheduling.

6. Do I have to buy each ACT! user a license for ACT! 8 even if they are sharing the same machine?

Yes, each named user in a database must have a unique ACT!8 license number.

7. Does my ACT! License cover Updates?

From time to time SAGE ACT release technical patches for your current version of ACT! which are available Free to download from the Internet by clicking ACT! Update from the Help menu. See About ACT! on the Help menu to check your version of ACT!
